Our Cortijo is not a typical apartment blok, or apartment complex, it was originaly an Andalusin farm
of around 20 acres,
where we built the apartments and bungalows.
The bungalows where not bilt merely as holiday abodes but more as a home,
they are comfortably furnishes for a real home like feeling and contain everythink to make your holiday complete.
All bungalows have one or two bedrooms(maximum to sleep five)
two bedrooms bungalows have one or two bathrooms and a shower room, also living roo,
Kitchen, terrace and private garden with garden furniture for outside dining.
Lock up garages are available at extra cost of 15€ per week.
The Kitchen is fully fitted with a large cooker and refrigerator,
ample china and drinking glasses for all your needs, wether it be wines or spirits,
there is acomplete range of pots and pans and other cooking utensils Linen and towels are changed one per week.
Electricity and water is included in the price, if required a weekly clean services is availabe at extra cost.
The bungalows and apartments are each individually furnished with antiques,
collected by my father during his employment and director of Antiquity for the Spanish Goverment,
a position he held for many years. His many achievements included the
decoration and refurbishment of two of spains most famous hotels,
The hostal de los los Reyes Católicos in santiago de Compostela (*****)
and the Hostal de San Marcos en Leon (*****) his most important project,
before his retirement, was to completely refurbish, in 1962 the Zarzuela palace in Madrid,
now official home of King Juan Carlos and his family. The bounday of the Cortijo almost reaches,
the ebach,a bath through the farmland, mainly wooded with pine, eucaliptus and cypress tress,
leads to the beachs, called Fontanilla and is part of a whole series of sandy beaches
and coves that streches from Cap Roche to CapeTrafalgar, a distance of 16 kilometers,
the silvery coloured san, wich gently slopes, toward the clear blue sea, wich is POLLUTION FREE
and therefore provides an ideal safe are for children to play, built sand castles.
You can try your hand at sea fishing with a rod from the shore or go
snorkeling in the very clear sea. At all times there is always plenty of room for you to
find a favoured spot or if you prefer there is the large gardens around the
bungalow apartments planted with heaps of roses, beneath date, Palms,
Hibiscus and Bouganvilles, leading to the swimming pool, with children pool,
set in the lawn ideal, for sun bathing, where there are plenty of sunbeds available.
The center of Conil is one Kilometer from the Cortijo, a pleasent walk of 10
minutes along the beach road leading into lower part of the village,
where you will find the local market, wich sells the locally grown are also
available as Conil and the surronding district is one big agricoltural oplain.
If you take the longer way into Conil, the high banks, also supermarkets where you will find
many articles on the shelves that are familiar to you in the UK,
also of course Sherry wines, spirits and liqueurs at much lower prices,
there is also a market held avery Friday situated at the lower end of the beach road.
There are about 18000 inhabitants in Conil, the men are mostly fisherman or farmers,
Conilians (conileños) a very friendly people and very kind to strangers,
always ready to help you if need arises. Conil itself is very old, dating back to phoenician times,
even older than Cadiz, wich is reputed to be the oldest city in Europa.
There are many restaurants in Conil Where you can eat the specialities of the area.
Conil is an ideal centre to explore this area of Spain and excursions by bus
and coach are very cheap, there is a dealy bus service from the high street and Conil to Cadiz,
Sevilla, Algeciras, Tarifa, Vejer, Barbate and Malaga. If you hire a car, places further afield can be visited,
Jerez, Puerto de Santa Maria, Medina Sidonia, Arcos, Sierra de Cádiz, Gibraltar,
Tarifa the southern most point of Europa where one can gow windsurfing,
it is also where the world windsurfing championships were held.
The nearest airport to Conil is Jerez around 65 Km,
Gibraltar around 110Km, Sevilla around 140 Km. Malaga around 220Km.,
there is a main railway satation at San Fernando 30 kilometer away.
We have been able to get very favourable terms with a car hire firm and cars are able to meet you ,
we can also provide for a taxi to meet you at very competitive rates, please let us Know oy your requirements,

One last item, a golf course of international stanedart designed by Severiano Ballesteros,
at Novo Santi Petri, Chiclana, at around 20 km from the Cortijo, Campano club de Golf 9 hole,
is around 15 kilometer, and one of the ebst cours in europe is Montenmedio in Vejer around 25 Km from the Cortijo.
